Privacy Policy
Who we are
ProRock Remodeling ("ProRock", "we", "us") is a licensed general contractor (California CSLB #1154078) providing kitchen, bathroom and home remodeling in the San Francisco Bay Area. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through prorock-remodeling.com (the "Site"), and when you contact us by phone, text or e-mail.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request an estimate or ask a question, we collect your name, phone number, e-mail address, city, the type of project and anything you write in your message. If you call, text or e-mail us, we receive the details you share.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the visit. These logs are used for security and to keep the Site running.
- Preferences stored on your device. The Site remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme using your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on the Site.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request, prepare an estimate, schedule visits and carry out the work you hire us for.
- To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed contractor, such as contracts, permits and warranty information.
- To protect the Site and our forms from spam and abuse (for example, limiting how many requests can be sent from one connection in an hour).
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
How your request reaches us
Messages sent through the Site's forms are delivered to our business e-mail either by the website's own mail system or by a form-delivery service that forwards the message to us. These providers process the message only to deliver it.
Third-party services on the Site
Some parts of the Site are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies may receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:
- Google Maps (service-area map) and Google Fonts (typefaces): Google Privacy Policy.
- Featurable (widget that shows our Google reviews): Featurable Privacy Policy.
- Links to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook, Yelp and Google. These sites are governed by their own policies once you visit them.
Sharing
We share personal information only as needed to do the job: with service providers who help us run the Site and our e-mail, with subcontractors or suppliers working on your project, with city building departments when we apply for permits on your behalf, and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as required for warranty, tax, licensing and legal purposes.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and how we use it;
- delete the personal information we have about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information.
Because we do not sell or share personal information and do not use sensitive personal information for other purposes, there is nothing to opt out of; we also honor Global Privacy Control signals. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. To make a request, e-mail service@prorock-remodeling.com or call (408) 991-4744. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and you can use an authorized agent. Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code §1798.83), we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Children
The Site is meant for adults planning home projects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Security
The Site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to your information to people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as payment card or Social Security numbers through the forms.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date below.
